Freedom House reports 16th year of declining internet freedom
New research examines restrictions on access and expression.
Freedom House released its report on 22 October 2026. It covers June 2025–May 2026. The organisation assesses conditions as worsening in 16 of 38 countries and improving in eight. AzadlıqRadiosu also reported the findings. These conclusions are the report authors’ assessments.
